Meet Melissa,

Rooted & Rising Pilates

For me, Pilates has never been just about fitness.

It is about returning to yourself, finding strength where you thought there was none, and rising beyond the limits that hold you back.


My own path has been shaped by over 1,800 hours of Pilates education and more than 8 years of teaching experience. 


In that time, I’ve had the honor of guiding hundreds of clients, each one reminding me that Pilates is not only about alignment and control, 

but also about freedom, resilience, and transformation.


Rooted & Rising Pilates was born from this devotion.


It is more than a studio, it’s a sanctuary. 


A place where strength meets serenity, where discipline meets soul, and where every movement is an invitation to heal, grow, and expand.


Here, we don’t just practice Pilates, we live it. We root ourselves in strength, in the body and the present moment. 

We rise into new levels of vitality, confidence, and purpose.


Whether you join me in private sessions, group classes, or immersive retreats, my mission is the same:

Melissa singlehandedly was one of the Pilates instructors that rejuvenated my love for the exercise. At the time I returned to Pilates when I moved back home, I was losing touch with the exercise. A deep understanding of anatomy, offering clear guidance- Melissa’s classes emphasize precision, she’s meticulous about form and encourages you to mentally connect with the muscles you’re engaging. Her instructions are clear and purposeful, guiding you through each movement with an understanding of how it should feel in your body.

She made it a point to learn everyone’s name, a small gesture that made a big impact.
